W00t we switched!
We switched over to pebble
We have now switched over to using Pebble as the back-end for the Folknology blog.
After much experimentation and deliberation we chose Pebble to run Folknology's blogging back-end. It's main benefits are Wordpress like functionality with a Java back-end enabling us to mash it up a little.

Re: W00t we switched!
"Incidentally, any plans to import the content of your old blog?" -
Not sure what to do here yet, in the meantime I keep the archive go to :
http://www.folknology.com/archive.html
All of the older content is linked to there and the permalinks still work for older articles.
"I'm also wondering whether the feeds that Pebble generates allow you to expose the comments (as Wordpress does)." -
You will have to be more specific, but there is a seperate feed for the comments, so you can track them, either by individual post or for the whole blog. I do not intent to support the email functionality, I need to make this clear, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I dislike the email functionality and prefer rss feeds
I will post this up shortly, as am playing with and experimenting as we speak
