People and Wikis

In addition to the speakers at FOWA day 2 I also met up with many people I hadn't spoken to in some time as well as some new folks.

At one of the breaks I ran into Ian Forrester (Geek diners, BBC Backstage etc..) after watching his eyes role painfully when I mentioned Windows DRM, I actually caught up with what he's been up to. I also apologised again for not making Barcamp (I will make one day). I then bumped straight into a conversation with Suw Charman and Alan Patrick regarding attention defeceit and continous parttial attention in the workplace etc.. I haven't yet gone down that dangerous Twitter route yet unlike these other addicts ;)

After FOWA day 2 made may way towards BT tower for the Wiki Wednesday meetup, hosted by Philip Woodgate of Goodman Jones. It was a full turn out standing room only. There were some great people there who I should mention ; David Terrar of Business Two Zero who had organised the event Dennis Howlett (who invited me, thanks D), of Enterprise Irregulars as well as some of their other crew : Phil Wainewright (of Loosely coupled). I met with Antonio CIO from SMBLive these are the guys who built the tech behind BT's current SAAS offering, and was suprised to find that the back-end was Sharepoint based. I even had time to stand up and give a 5 minute intro about Folknology along with a quick illustration of a case study using EditGrid. The event was well attended and I really wish we had more time to talk to everyone there, however David tells me that they will be aiming to make this Bi-Monthly from now on look here for dates etc..
