Happy Birthday to Folknology

Folknology is 1 year old, the anniversary passed just last weekend (October 7th), I can't beleive how quickly the last 12 months have gone. I remember the announcement post on a previous blog vividly.

So one year on what lets review the original intentions for Folknology, here is the old announcement :

"Our new experimental blog is up at Folknology, it will be much more than just a blog as it develops through various planned projects etc.. But the blog is at the very centre of it, being the 'Conversation' that we use to develop the projects around."

Well short an sweet as were most of the posts for HeiarchicAl. But Folknology has been pretty much on message throughout that period, the experimental nature of the Folknology labs has worked well, we have started several projects, experimented with many new technologies out of which I see at least two business candidates and maybe one other "Open" project.

So what's in store for Folknology now? Well "if it ain't broken don't fix it". It has worked well and we will build on it further, a few of the technologies will fly the nest and hopefully bloom into beautiful butterflies whilst we will dig out new ideas.

  1. Only this time we intend getting more people involved
  2. We intend joining more of our stuff with others stuff
  3. We would also like to encourage a physical presence

Of course we cannot do any of this without you and your ideas, so please continue to let us know, what would you like to see at Folknology? We are all ears...
